Have you noticed lately the “Shop” tab over at Entrecard? Haven’t paid much attention to it until last week and it’s nice to know that Entrecarders like us can now spend our credits in more unique ways. Entrecard Credits has now been accepted as a currency in the blogosphere other than credits used to purchase placement for our 125X125 card on other blogs for advertising purpose. Some bloggers have even manage to make money out of their credits by putting up their own Entrecard credit shop in their own blog while others choose to auction their EC’s over at EBay. Now that Entrecard credits has gained more value, this only means that we can benefit more from it. So what does the Entrecard Shop offers? A lot actually, from purchasing domain and hosting service to consultation for your relationship problems. All in exchange for your Entrecard credits.

The Good and Evil Side of Entrecard Shop

Is that true that you can use your credits for a consultation for your relationship problems? Yep! I haven’t tried it though and not in the future I guess. LOL. But when I visited the blog that offers it, it seems like you can count on the author of the blog for a good consultation for your love problems. Anyway, you can see the offer here. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of these crazy days someone would offer a shoulder to cry on in exchange for Entrecard credits. LOL! I thought of that idea so don’t copy it. I might offer that in the future. LMAO.

Seriously now, there are other bunch of offers you can take advantage of in the EC Shop. There’s a Graphic Design section where you can have a banner designed for you, a Writing section where you can buy a review for your site. If you don’t have much commentors in your blog you can even get someone to post five comments on your blog for 250 EC. Maybe you wanted a hand-painted butterfly ornament to pimp out your room, you can get it for 400 EC deliver via mail to you. You can find that at the Merchandise section.

Pretty cool offers if you ask me. Now, the evil side to this Entrecard Shop is that the system of service exchange is screwed up. So be aware before purchasing any service. I’ve read from other bloggers complaining that they bought services such as advertising, blog review, writing services and haven’t got wait they paid for. The real problem is that Entrecard doesn’t have a system which protects buyers from being scammed. The transaction system goes like this. You click on “Buy this Item” link for the offer you’re interested in, then the amount is automatically deducted to your credits. That’s it. There’s a 50/50 chances you’ll get the service you paid for or you won’t get it at all.

The Real Solution to the Problem

Plain and simple. Entrecard should put up a rating system for buyers to rate the credibility of the sellers. I can’t think of a more complicated one to solve this problem. Let’s hope Entrecard would take action for this issue to be solved.
