Yes! The famous Hooters franchise famous for their busty waitresses is now open in Manila. Hooters Manila is located at Building D, Units 1 to 6 San Miguel by the Bay, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. It was officially launched last April 28. Sadly, our fellow Pinoy kababayans who’ve already been to Hooters Manila were quite disappointed. The reason: our Pinay version of Hooters Girls were not up to par with the Hooters Girls in the US sex appeal wise.

In the US, Hooters brags that, “Hooters Girls make our concept unique. It offers our customers the look of the ‘All American Cheerleader, Surfer, Girl Next Door.” Well, I wonder how would they brag about and package our own Hooters Girls in Manila? “All Pinay Kikay Next Door”? Come on, I can’t think of anything creative. Help me out. LOL. I haven’t been there personally so I can’t judge, but from the pictures I’ve seen over at Flickr, they have a number of bad looking ones and a few who are really worth checking for. No disrespect though, just my honest opinion. And the food? Well, their famous chicken wings was said to be nothing special. As it lacks in presentation and it tastes plain.

But that doesn’t stop me from checking Hooters Manila as I’ve been dying to be at any Hooters since I was in high school. With all the bad reputation Hooters Manila have been receiving around the blogosphere, I know now not to expect much. I just want to enjoy a cold beer and grab me a souvenir shirt. Then I might skip to Gerry’s Grill or Dencio’s for a few bottles and have a Sisig. If I’m still sober, I might drop by at Bocaue before going home because that’s where the real action is. But then my girlfriend might be reading this and spoil my plan. Hahaha… Oh well. I’ll see you guys next week. I hope I can feature that all Pinoy concept clothing store on my Pinoy Rocks! campaign. Hooters Girls Employee Handbook Requirement: Female employees are required to sign that they “acknowledge and affirm” the following:

1. My job duties require I wear the designated Hooters Girl uniform.
2. My job duties require that I interact with and entertain the customers.
3. The Hooters concept is based on female sex appeal and the work environment is one in which joking and sexual innuendo based on female sex appeal is commonplace.
4. I do not find my job duties, uniform requirements, or work environment to be offensive, intimidating, hostile, or unwelcome.
