ptc wake up callIt was late last year when I discovered about PTC sites. I was desperate to make extra income and the opportunity presented by Paid to Click sites was a tempting offer you can’t quite refuse. Think about it – you can make money at home without investing a dime, you just click on ads and once you reach payout, you can request for cashout. Simple isn’t it? Even a 12-year old kid can make money off of it. Now, the real challenge is you have to invest your time and effort promoting PTC programs so you can gather referrals and make more money. Even that one is EASY, you don’t need any marketing skills to do that. I told myself, “Why not give it a try.” I became active with PTC but as months passed the PTC industry became a breeding ground for scammers.

PayPal’s Refusal to PTC Sites Was A Hard Blow

I think it was also late last year when Paypal dropped and refused PTC sites from using their service and it crippled the PTC industry badly. Most PTC sites shut down their operation because of this. At first, you might think it was a ridiculous move for Paypal to ban PTC sites but if you think about it, it was a reasonable action for Paypal’s part because a lot of PTC programs have been disappearing at that time along with their members money. It was a wise decision for Paypal because they have to protect their credibility as a trusted payment processor.

Along Came Alertpay to the Rescue

The PTC industry decided to use a new payment processor to replace Paypal and a lesser known company in the form of Alertpay came to the rescue. Alertpay’s credibility was questioned by PTC members but soon as they receive their money all their doubts were gone. All the kids were happy and the PTC industry is back on its feet again, little did they know that a new problem would arise.

There was no doubt that the members were able to withdraw their money thru Alertpay and their trust level with the new payment processor was established. But we all know that thousands of PTC members are from different parts of the globe and Alertpay’s reach is limited to a few countries only unlike Paypal which is worldwide (If I’m not mistaken). So the big question is, “How can someone transfer funds from Alertpay to Paypal?” Let’s face it. The money you earn from PTC sites is just an ONLINE MONEY you can use for limited online transaction unless it reaches your Paypal account where you can actually withdraw the money from the bank. A Paypal check or fund is as good as cash whereas the money from Alertpay is – well – as good whatever it is good for.

What you can do with Your Alertpay Money

Don’t fret, there are ways you can spend your money from Alertpay. You can buy referrals from it, you can purchase premium membership with it and you can buy credits with it that you can use for a referral site like GetRef. You notice the pattern? The money is going in circles. Alertpay, being the lesser known payment processor that is, makes it more difficult to actually spend your money with it. Can you use your Alertpay money to buy goods at E-Bay or Amazon? Can I purchase a domain and hosting using Alertpay? I haven’t seen many sites that accepts Alertpay payments and that becomes a real problem. I’ve seen sites that accepts Paypal, E-Gold, Liberty Reserve but not Alertpay.

Transfer Funds from Alertpay to Paypal using Third Party Websites is a Lie

Lately, Paypal has answered the unending inquiry about transferring funds from a different payment processor using third party sites and their response is quite disappointing but reasonable. If you’ve read my previous post some months ago, Transfer Funds from Alertpay to Paypal and Vice-Versa, I mentioned that you can transfer funds using Move-Funds. I myself tried transferring and end up wasting money using transfer fund sites like GGEPay. Paypal made a statement already that they don’t accept fund transfer from another payment processor so don’t waste your time. The reason is pretty obvious – competition.

This should be the end of Part 1. On my next post, I’ll discuss the reason why PTC sites are becoming a waste of time and effort. Be on the look for that. Also if you find this post informative please help me Digg by clicking on the Digg button below.
