If you are a Filipino and you haven’t heard of Team Manila shirts, you are missing out on a lot. I have been proudly rocking a Team Manila shirt for three years now since my first purchase at their store in Rockwell Makati. I own 12 shirts now and the number of my collection just keeps growing and it’s fast becoming an addiction. What makes Team Manila shirts uniquely Pinoy is their stylish cool designs, from our national icon – Jose Rizal rocking a Ray Ban sunglasses to silhouettes of our own folk dancers aptly titled United Tinikling Collective.

Who/What is Team Manila?

Team Manila is a graphic design studio based in the Philippines with an extensive portfolio of brilliant works in the field of broadcast and print design. While Team Manila is more popularly known for their Graphic Designed Lifestyle t-shirts, the range of their services isn’t only limited to apparel. In fact, they even worked with big names like Nike, Shoe Salon and MTV to name a few.

Pinoy Pop Culture Captured Vividly by Team Manila T-shirts

Team Manila shirts infuses a distinct Pinoy flavor in their work. They launched Graphic Design Lifestyle (GDL) to help Pinoys wear their nationalism on their sleeves, literally. GDL has been rocking since April 2005 and there’s no stopping it. Many have enjoyed their “Istambay Habang Buhay” tees and the classic “Manila” tee. The products represents the urban life and culture of its surroundings. From graphic interpretations of national icons to the everyday life on the street.

Graphic Designed Lifestyle apparel offers a lot besides t-shirts. There’s bags, wallets, stickers, pins, hoodies and clocks all with their own touch of Pinoy flavor you can most be proud of. You can also pimp out your kid’s clothing style by rocking them with Tiny Manila shirts. The “Kilabot ng Preschool” and “1 + 1 = Magellan, 2 + 2 = Lapu Lapu” design is something I would personally like my kid to wear. How simple yet brilliant their creations isn’t it?

The Graphic Design Lifestyle product intends to remind us of the unique qualities of the everyday: WEAR / COMMUNICATE / BREATHE / EXPERIENCE / LOVE / HATE / MANILA

My Favorite Team Manila Shirt

jomari in team manila shirtOh, my favorite shirt is my “Mang Eddie’s Vulcanizing Shop and Gotohan, Open 24 Hours.” I’ve been getting noticed a lot whenever I rock that crazy shirt, it’s fun and Pinoy in every shape, form and fashion. It may look cheap at first glance, like an ordinary Christmas give-away shirt but it depends on the person wearing it. LOL. By the way, each shirt costs P500 bucks, not too much if you’d ask me compared to branded shirts from the states like the usual Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister that is becoming played out nowadays. LMAO! Support our local designers and go grab your own Team Manila shirt.
