As a part of my commitment to promote the creativity of our fellow Pinoy kababayans in my Pinoy Rocks! campaign, I now present to you a uniquely Pinoy clothing company – The Tshirt Project. I promised the guys over at TTP Trinoma branch that I would blog and promote their store here at PinoyRak so here it goes. I hope you get to visit this post one of these days.

That was last two weeks ago when me and my girlfriend chanced upon The Tshirt Project at Trinoma. We were looking for a shoe boutique and we happened to pass by a group of people crowding a store that caught our attention. Curious about the buzz, so we decided to investigate for ourselves. I instantly smiled the moment we walked in.

I was happy and proud to know that such a unique clothing store exists plus it particularly caters to Pinoys. My 385.00 pesos just slipped out my wallet that instant as I knew I can’t go home that night without purchasing a shirt from them. I promised the guys at TTP that we’ll come back to take some pictures and feature their store in my blog. So we did came back last Sunday armed with my digital camera to cover our visit.

A little history about The Tshirt Project: The company started as a school project back when the owners were still in college. It’s first brand was Spoofs, and has been around since 1991. The company then managed to build a steady balik-bayan based market during the popularity of Spoofs and was able to expand to 25 company owned outlets and 3 franchisees. As the company progressed it eventually came up with other brands such as Branded, FCME, Metro Adobo, Malisya, Shirts for a Cause, Bagong Barong, Designed Sealed and Delivered, and Volume One. Eventually, it was named “The Tshirt Project” in 2007.

What I admire about The Tshirt Project is their commitment to cater to the discriminating taste of Pinoys when it comes to fashion, in this day where most Pinoys settle to buy foreign brands instead of patronizing our own. Well, I can see all their efforts are being paid off now and they deserve every bit of it. Wearing one of their shirts is the surest way to make a statement on how truly creative we Pinoys are. The designs are exceptional and the quality of the shirt itself is good, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t get one.

You can check out their Multiply page to see our local celebrity endorsers from our very own OPM bands to KC Concepcion. Also, I would like to thank Andy and Lyn, the guys over at TTP Trinoma branch for being kind to us. Oh, and I compiled a few designs from their archives that you might find cool and interesting.

If you enjoyed this post and you don’t want to miss the next one, make sure you subscribe to our mailing list and get regular updates straight to your email! And if you add PinoyRak as one of your favorites over at Technorati, then we’ll favorite you back in return. How’s that for reciprocity?
